After a very slow year in 2020 with the start of the Covid epidemic, Kerry was very grateful to get to travel to Uganda in March 2021. It was a country she had been wanting to visit for a very long time. She accompanied Mike Pack and his fiancé Tisha Black to an area called Kidepo in the Karamoja region of Uganda. Here, they spent several days hunting “the old and the ugly” Cape Buffalo. Mike was successful in this quest with the hunt culminating in a very old, very ugly dagga boy that had only a “scrum cap” left of his horns.

The trio then took a very hair-raising car drive from Kidepo to Murchison Falls National Park where they would spend the next few days fishing for Nile Perch and visiting Chimpanzees in the wild. Murchison Falls National Park is the largest park in Uganda and houses the most powerful stretches of white water in the world. While the Nile Perch gave the fishermen (& women) the slip, they did catch some very large catfish and did get a wonderful sighting of a group of Chimpanzees. A highly recommended trip for any intrepid outdoorsman.
